The Norman & Elaine Polsky Family Supporting Foundation
The Creative Education Foundation is grateful to Norman and Elaine Polsky and their Foundation for initiating the challenge that launched the CEF Endowment Fund and for their on-going support.
The Norman and Elaine Polsky Family Supporting Foundation (Polsky Supporting Foundation) supports 49 charities throughout the United States. The Creative Education Foundation is honored to be among the recipients.
Thus far, the Polsky Supporting Foundation has granted CEF two $12,500 "match contributions" or a total of $25,000.
In 2007 and 2008, thanks to the generosity of our community, CEF received new donations to the Polsky Endowment fund in the amount of $43,500! In total, the Endowment Fund has received $68,500 from CEF Contributors plus $25,000 from the Polsky Supporting Foundation.
Unfortunately, due to the market down turn, the endowment fund lost value in the second half of 2008. As of the end of January 2009, we hold a cash position of $41,000 and security position of $34,000.
This month, CEF has applied for matching funds in the amount of $43,500 and hopes to receive these funds at the end of February 2009. We intend to invest additional funds in conservative cash instruments. We will update this page with information on the match as it becomes available.
