Creative Education Foundation (CEF) is thrilled to announce a new managing partnership with the Florida Creativity Conference (FLCC).  In this capacity, CEF will assume all management and operation of FLCC, while keeping true to the founders’ vision to provide creativity learning and personal and professional networking opportunities.

Founded in 1954 by the originators of “brainstorming”, CEF produces the Creative Problem Solving Institute (CPSI), the largest annual conference focused on the Creative Problem Solving process.  Fast forward to 2004, when several CPSI participants living in Florida began meeting informally, and later established an annual conference now called the Florida Creativity Conference.

“The power of creative thinking and the potential for wonderful connections with fellow creative thinking ‘travelers’ was irresistible for both of us,” said FLCC founders Kitty Heusner and Hedria Saltzman, both longtime CPSI attendees who have also served in leadership positions with CEF.  “We are thrilled to take the next steps to expand the outreach of the Florida Creativity Conference and to become an official part of the CEF family. Paying it forward by sharing the opportunity is so important and allows us to continue to grow and learn.”

“Creative Education Foundation is honored to have been approached by Kitty and Hedria to ensure FLCC’s long-term viability,” said Beth Miller, Executive Director of CEF.  “Our board and staff have a deep commitment to retaining the unique spirit of FLCC while providing our organization’s infrastructure and back of house expertise.”

“FLCC’s annual conference – scheduled for March 10 – 12, 2023 in Sarasota – is a wonderful complement to not only CPSI but also the many programs offered by CEF throughout the year,” Miller added.  “The partnership raises the tide for not only our conference and program attendees and presenters, but also for sponsors and supporters.  More so, we are stronger together as we spread the importance and impact of creative program solving as a practice.”

FLCC’s team of staff and volunteers will continue to operate the conference. More information about the Florida Creativity Conference can be found at www.flcreativity.com.
