The Necessity of Partnership: Choosing Growth Over Retreat
In times of uncertainty, it is human nature to contract. When budgets tighten or the global landscape feels challenging, the instinct is to retreat into deficit thinking—to guard our resources, protect our turf, and ultimately, shrink our collective impact.
At the Creative Education Foundation (CEF), we know that retreat is the greater risk. Our strategic mandate is to lean in. We are choosing to amplify our resilience, creativity, and generosity by forging deliberate, powerful alliances that strengthen the entire creativity and facilitation sector.
Wiley Publications: The Anchor of Scholarly Authority
Our foundational, long-term partnership with Wiley Publications continues to secure our place in academic thought leadership. This collaboration maintains and has grown the impact of the Journal of Creative Behavior (JCB). Our regular editorial meetings and exceptional editorial team have cultivated 110% growth in published articles between 2022 and 2025. We are also engaging in critical conversations on how the scholarly community must adapt to the tectonic shifts brought by AI within publishing.
Voltage Control: Expanding Facilitation Reach
We are thrilled about our upcoming co-promotion partnership with our friends at Voltage Control. We are strategically combining forces to drastically expand the reach and accessibility of high-quality facilitation tools and training to professionals globally.
A Historic Reunion: Back to Our Roots with Buffalo State University
We are ecstatic that our historic reunion with Buffalo State University continues to grow and evolve. For the 2nd year in a row, we will bring our flagship CPSI Conference back to its historic home. (Registration opened on December 1 — secure your spot at CPSI 2026 today and give yourself the gift of creativity.) For CPSI 2026, we are working with the Center for Applied Imagination to curate a panel and workshops led by top, global creativity scholars.
This is more than a partnership; it is a commitment to the history and future of applied creativity, ensuring that the next generation of scholars and practitioners are connected to our foundational legacy.
Taking a Strategic Leap Forward
We have also initiated a major, strategic asset acquisition that will immediately make us the primary hub for global creativity. Stay tuned for more info!
This suite of strategic moves—our partnerships with Wiley and Voltage Control, our historic reunion with Buffalo State, and our recent major acquisition—are proof that CEF is choosing trust over fear, and growth over scarcity.
This is a choice of courage, creativity, and resilience. It is a choice you can make, too.
Let’s keep creating and growing, together.
